No… I’m not obessed with moose…

Assignment: Create a looped animation of a customized character running, and use a secondary animation.

Go figure. The moose made a running moose animation! I would post the actual SWF file or convert it into a MOV but wordpress won’t let me upload either of those.

I was highly displeased with my background image. It is supposed to be a video file of Hogwarts burning that I put on loop so the flames are always burning, but instead it stops playing after the first 17 seconds.

My secondary animation is the background image zooming out. And I realized that if I had the background zooming out then I had to make the moose zoom out as well.

Bless my soul Herc was on a roll!

This is a trace I did of Hercules on Illustrator. I did this for a mix of fun and practice. The only tools i used were the pen tool and the smooth tool; I tried doing parts with the pencil tool but I found it really messy.

I decided to go with Hercules because I love Disney so it was easy for me to stay inspired and on track. It’s pretty obvious that this sketch isn’t official Disney Hercules. If you look at the official Disney Hercules you can see that his toga-I think that what you call it-has a thick brown outline, and his belt does not have the symbol in it. Also his sandals are not consistent in the sketch.

No Monkeying Around

Just the head of the monkey; we ran out of time in class to finish tracing the entire monkey.

During one of my lunch breaks I decided to hit the library and do some practice with the shape tools in Illustrator.

I was inspired by my little stuffed elephant named peanut, my Lego ewok key chain that dangles from my USB, my moose nickname, and the pig…well that was just random.

The problem I came across on the moose and the ewok was the intersecting and overlapping lines from other shapes. So when I tried erasing the lines Illustrator outlined the area that I had erased. So I brought the two images into Photoshop and brused over the lines manually.
